The last time we spoke to WENDY JAMES, she made a lot of typically outrageous claims for herself. She would be the biggest name in pop. She would win Oscars. Before she died, she infamously predicted, the whole world would know her name. Not long after, Transvision Vamp's record company scrapped the release of the band's new album and the band split shortly afterwards. Who could resist a smirk? It looked well and truly over for Wendy. Against the odds, however, she is about to return in glorious style with an LP written for and partly about her by ELVIS COSTELLO. She gives the whole bizarre story to ANDREW MUELLER
