Tim Buckley

TIM BUCKLEY had moved from the East Coast to Southern California and became involved, playing and touring, with various country bands like Princess Ramona and the Cherokee Riders, whilst still in his midteens. This way the early sixties, at the time of the Beat Generation movement, and although the major folk scene was centered on Greenwich Village, L.A. was not without its folk club circuit, and Tim Buckley was drawn to it. Here he picked up a manager, Herb Cohen, then managing Lenny Bruce, and along with other young folk singers, was signed to Elektra records.
