Tindersticks: Live at Royal Albert Hall, London
Chris Roberts, Uncut, December 2001
THE ALBERT Hall was surely built for Tindersticks. Actually, no, I've just done some in-depth historical research and it was built for other reasons, but you get my principle. Their grandiose songs-to-wallow-in-self-pity-to sound fine amid spit and sawdust, but sound even finer when surging up from the belly of a dandy bit of architecture.
