EVERYBODY KNOWS that there are but two classic answers to that eternal question of the ages, "Why?" They are, of course "Why not?" and "Because." The Catch 22 of this theory is that while the above two replies may, indeed, answer the syntactical requirements of the question, they in no way whatsoever come anywhere close to providing as satisfactory a substantial response as is usually required.
