IN FEBRUARY 1962, Tony Orlando toured Britain with Clarence Henry and Bobby Vee. Henry boogied his head off but no-one had paid to see the veteran New Orleans piano-player and audiences were decidedly fidgety. Bobby Vee topped the bill but, before the big moment arrived, they were forced to sit through Orlando, the one-hit wonder from New York.
