Top Cat: Cat Stevens

Philip Norman, The Sunday Times Magazine, 5 March 1972

TO DISCUSS brilliance in pop music is difficult; for there you are a genius by proclaiming yourself one, and the greatest of them all, Elton John, sounds no more than a baby howling for a treat. We live on in hope that, when our idols open their mouths to speak, our hearts may not sink.
