UFO: Empire, Liverpool
Garry Bushell, Sounds, 23 January 1982
A MASSIVE clenched fist clutching a spanner makes an imposing backdrop for the new UFO show and inspires hopes that the band are belatedly rallying to the socialist cause. Maybe we were in for The Thoughts Of Chairman Mogg tonight. Well not quite, though he gets a bit near the Marx later on, but this inspiring symbol from the soon-come album Mechanix does serve to emphasise that Mogg's Marauders are still very much a people's band, populist, and as packed houses nationwide prove, still very very popular.
