Viola Wills: Struggling For The Truth
David Nathan, Blues & Soul, August 1974
IT CAME as something of a surprise to the lady to learn that her name was already familiar to a hard core following of fans via recordings she made with Barry White producing back in the mid-Sixties but Viola Wills is no stranger on the British soul scene. And although we haven't heard from her in some time, record-wise, she's back with a vengance and more than ready to reveal a great deal of talent which it seems has remained dormant for far too long.
