THE SMALL, GRIZZLED man in the check shirt indicated he'd like a cigarette. The small, curly-haired, young man sitting opposite handed him a Raleigh. The older man flicked his lighter. But his arm jerked and the flame missed the cigarette. It happened again. And again. The younger one just watched, didn't try to help. A couple more passes… he made it. Woody Guthrie inhaled and laughed his appreciation at Bob Dylan.
