World Party: Royal Albert Hall, London

AS COMEBACKS GO, playing the Albert Hall after more than a decade away makes quite a bold statement. Never mind that this iconic venue was barely two-thirds full, it was still heartening to see Karl Wallinger back onstage with the latest line-up of World Party last week, particularly since the 55-year-old singer suffered a brain aneurysm in 2001 that almost ended his career.
