INASMUCH AS the Lennons have spent four years trying to turn self-dramatisation into an art-form, the criticism of indulgence so often aimed at them seems, on the face of it, irrelevant. So I'll just say that Approximately Infinite Universe, like most double-albums, would have made a better single album – and let the rest pass.
