THESE ALBUMS are famous, if at all, for not being famous. Now that the all too seductive veil of obscurity has been lifted (and therefore the principal reason for any fame), they can only be judged in a fuller, perhaps harsher light. From "cult" collector’s items to general release is a tough step from which few reputations survive intact.
