SPARKS IS ONE of those aggregations that people seem either to be attracted to or repulsed by. For the first few months of their 'comeback', the road was smooth and everyone was on their side – underdogs that they were. But now with three hit singles and one smash album to their credit, ominous clouds are gathering, threatening to wash away all the goodwill they've established. Apres success, le deluge.
