Graceland After visiting Graceland for a second time, five years on, I still reckon it’s easy to O.D. on Elvis. If truth be told, the people watching on Elvis Presley Boulevard, the renamed highway which runs past Graceland’s door, nearly trumps the house, rhinestone jumpsuits, planes, cars and all. There isn’t much in the way of Elvis’s presence to be felt at Graceland but the introduction of state-of-the-art electronic headsets (which react to the exhibits and monitors showing home movie footage in a way the cassette-based commentary never could) has elevated the experience by a country mile. You still can’t see the king’s throne, though. (Photos: Joss Hutton / Nadia Freyther)
