ONE OF THE prime joys of being an ardent music fan is the sense of exhilaration that runs through you when you stumble on something genuinely fresh and exciting. It may not last terribly long, but nothing can quite match that first rush when you simply can’t get enough of that sound and feel duty-bound to turn other people on to it. There are times when that feeling borders on outright obsession.
