An Electrocuting Jimi Hendrix Experience: Jimi Hendrix/Soft Machine: Auditorium Theatre, Chicago

Camille Davis Russo, Skyline, 14 September 1968

I have given over my column this week to my daughter Camille Russo. She
is almost 17, and has a good ear, has studied the piano, and has been a member
of my repertory company. Her knowledge of popular music is exhaustive and
unerring. I had planned to take her to the Jimi Hendrix concert on August 10, but found myself at the last minute unable to go. She and I negotiated: she would attend, bring a friend in my place, and would write the review herself.
She writes exquisitely, as you will see, and I believe that she has done a far better job than I would have. — William Russo
