CONCEPT ALBUMS are always a bad idea. Fact. Concepts take over; lyrics, melodies, songs merely a way of fulfilling them. The concept of Natasha "Bat For Lashes" Khan's follow-up to her enchanting Mercury and Brit nominated debut, Fur and Gold, is one to crush spirits, being as it is an exploration of the philosophy of the self and duality and metaphysical ideas about the connectedness of existence.
