Beck: The Mix-up Kid

ON A WARM January afternoon of the kind that’s almost unique to Los Angeles, an enormous lime-green 1969 Chevrolet pickup is lumbering noisily up a narrow, winding street in the super-hip neighourhood of Los Feliz. Inside the rusty, hulking relic one can just make out two tiny figures. It looks as though a couple of kids have made off with their dad’s favourite jalopy.
