Blodwyn Pig: Ahead Speaks Out

Mark Williams, International Times, 26 September 1969

I'D NEVER seen Mick Abrahams in a suit before. In fact, he'd confessed to me that he'd never bought a suit in his life. He'd walked into the office the other day with a thickly studded, badge ridden leather jacket which he'd bought off a motor cyclist for three quid — and he looked just right. Then, today, he opens the door and stands there, smiling, with an ice cream suit, white tie, black shirt, someone from Damon Runyon. Why did you buy it Mick, I asked? "Er, because I was stoned out of my mind at the time and I felt really silly. Yeah, it's a bit of a laugh isn't it. You know, sort of just one of yer actual groovers, isn't it? I will wear it on stage, you know, depending on my mood."
