SOME good rocking samples of Hooker R&B are found on Driftin' Thru The Blues (Ember EMB3371) 17s 9d, from John Lee's early recording days. A few tracks date from the late Forties, the others from the early to middle Fifties, and all were made for the Modern label in Detroit.
