Bonnie Bramlett: The Bottom Line, NYC

Mitchell Cohen, Phonograph Record, March 1975

THE PRESSURE is on Bonnie Bramlett now, in a way that it's never been before. As part of a group that served as a way-station for humble superstar sideman, she was only one feature for an audience that came to be enthralled by the hot licks of a Clapton, an Allman, a Mason. Bonnie's solo spots – one or two songs per set – were appreciated, but it was the good-time communal jive that made Delaney & Bonnie & Friends such an exuberant live act.
