THE STAGE WAS filled with manic, shadowy figures: three guitarists, two drummers, two singers, and a saxophonist. Through the barrage of noise, one could distinguish the odd lyric reference to time-travel, outer space, etc. No, these weren't Can, the famous German rock group, these were Gunner Kade, a band led by an ex-Groundhog and named after a tedious science-fiction novel by C. M. Kornbluth and Judith-Merrill. In terms of interest, the music was fairly faithful to the book.
