I DON'T CARE what people say about her; I think that Cerys Matthews, the lead singer of Welsh outfit Catatonia, is a really nice bloke. They are calling her the new Queen of Indie Pop, but she lives her life like a decadent Roman emperor — swaggering around the scene in a manner that would make most of her male peers yearn for a quiet life, complete with on-tap Alka Seltzer.
