Checkpoint Fowley: Chairman Kim in Berlin

Dave Rimmer, Checkpoint (Berlin), November 1992

Author's Note: This was written as a column for Checkpoint magazine in Berlin. The column was, at the beginning, nominally about nightlife, so hence all the mentions of clubs and stuff at the beginning. It was also written shortly after my book Once Upon A Time In The East came out, hence all the mentions of authorship. That book was well-known in Berlin and I was a bit of a cult character at the time... I say by way of excusing the piece's faintly conceited tone. All true, though. And it was a memorable night.

Total word count of piece: 1521
