Clyde McPhatter: Welcome Home
Greg Shaw, Phonograph Record, November 1971
CLYDE MCPHATTER is one of the best singers to come out of the early 50s vocal group tradition. After a stint with Billy Ward and His Dominos, the first such group to attain any wide recognition, Clyde Clyde left in 1953 to begin his own group, the Drifters. It was with the Drifters on Atlantic that he really flourished.
