LATE LAST summer Dave Crosby was preparing his first solo album after having left the Byrds, Graham Nash was in America having a rest from his activities as the only turned on member of the Hollies and ex-Buffalo Springfield, Steve Stills was doing very little. They somehow came together and decided that they had something they could each benefit from and contribute to without having to accept the rigid confines of a 'pop group' format. Their first album proves that they made the right decision.
