WAS THERE EVER a more reluctant pop star than Dave Edmunds? The common practice for almost anyone who's scored a big hit is to roll up their sleeves and labour tirelessly on a follow-up, either to consolidate their current popularity or to scale even greater heights. Not so in the case of the Cardiff singer and guitarist, who seemingly turned his back on fame at least twice in the first few years of his career.
