David Bowie Let's Dance (EMI/America)

Carol Cooper, Record, July 1983

A CONSUMMATE BLEND of everything Chic and David Bowie (in his Negro period) represent, 'Let's Dance' – the title song of the latter's new album – makes me wonder anew about what would have happened had 'What's That You're Doing' been the first single from Tug of War instead of the painfully insipid 'Ebony and Ivory'.
