DONOVAN HAS achieved something that at one time I would have thought impossible — he has emerged from 'The Scream Age' into 'The Ear Age' as one of our most important composers. Those the days of the battered old guitar labelled 'This Machine Kills' and the sailing cap and the senseless accusations that he was just Bob Dylan Jr.!
