ELLEN McILWAINE immediately hits you in two ways; she is completely original and totally alluring. She is far and away one of the best female guitarists in rock and she is definitely one of the best slide guitarists of either sex. Her voice is powerful, not terribly pretty, but for what she sings she doesn't need a terribly pretty voice.
