Emerson Lake And Palmer: Emerson Lake And Palmer (Island stereo ILPS 9132, 39s 11d)

Richard Green, New Musical Express, 21 November 1970

ANYONE WHO still thinks that Emerson Lake and Palmer are a cheap imitation of the Nice should give this album a spin and be proven far from right. The inventiveness and complexity of several of the numbers is amazing and the general "feel" of the composition is quite a bit different from the work of Keith's earlier group.
