RECENT WARNINGS linking club-going to ear damage have got it all wrong. Never mind amplified Jungle or cranium-pounding dub, the real threat to the nation's hearing is the audience at Eternal concerts. Beginning, deceptively, with a few isolated wails, they soon work up to an ear-splitting Screeeeem that sounds like a gigantic kettle whistling. Terrifying. And all this before the band have come on.
