Galliano: Forum, London
Andrew Smith, The Guardian, 15 July 1994
GALLIANO HAVE the knack of polarising opinion. On the one side, you have a public who have been drawn to the band's deeply hip fusion of rap, funk, soul and jazz in numbers substantial enough to ensure three sell-out dates at the London Forum: on the other side are the critics, who accuse them of dour political posturing and of shamelessly pillaging the back catalogues of seventies icons like Roy Ayers, the Last Poets, even Innervisions-era Stevie Wonder.
