ALTHOUGH BOTH these A&M albums appear to be "solo" outings it should be realised as soon as possible that neither of them are solitary landscapes. In fact they both bristle throughout with the conjoined energies of a studio full of sessioneers, but in each case the amalgam has a different consistency.
