George Clinton: Computer Games (Capitol)

THERE ARE times when I think George Clinton puts out uneven albums just to piss the rest of the world off. I mean, there are two, maybe three solid singles here, but to get to them you have to sit through some of the most half-assed concept mongering anyone's heard since Hawkwind finally overdosed. This batch, in case you're wondering, has to do with video games, great black radio and something about man-as-dog that has a lot of puns in it on 'Woofers', plus the obligatory doo-doo song. In short, all the usual crap.
