LONDON — Abbey Road is a short street in North London with only one distinctive feature — it houses the studios of E.M.I., the world's largest record company. In the next few weeks, however, it seems assured that Abbey Road will become as well known internationally as Portobello Road, Petticoat Lane and Carnaby Street.
