Gladys Knight & the Pips: Glad it's Knight

Robin Katz, Black Echoes, 15 January 1977

"EVERYBODY'S TALKIN' 'bout the good old days," right? In their 25-year history, Gladys Knight and the Pips have had their share of ups and downs, but they are perhaps the only group who have worked with everyone from Van McCoy to Johnny Bristol to Norman Whitfield. Interview time was limited, but the stories could have gone on all day long. Between the laughter and the chatter Gladys and her brother Merald 'Bubba' Knight, cousin Ed Patten and later in the interview, newly awoken William Guest joined in for a quick session down memory lane — behind the scenes.
