NILS LOFGREN and Fanny are odds-on, for my money, the two most exciting young talents in mainstream rock today. Nils' initial reputation came about from his piano playing on After The Goldrush and being a member of the original Crazy Horse; later, in mid-1971, he recorded an album with his group Grin. It wasn't much good. His second album, however, is a different story altogether.
