Ike & Tina Turner: Workin' Together (Liberty)

Colman Andrews, Phonograph Record, March 1971

TINA TURNER ought to be ashamed of her fine self, screaming and shouting and carrying on the way she does. If she isn't the sexiest lady in the entire history of rock and roll, I'd like to know who is. She is (perhaps unfashionably) Womanly, strong and secure in her sexual identity, and her singing proclaims that strength and security brazenly.
