Jackson Browne: Vanishing Minstrel
Danny Holloway, New Musical Express, 20 May 1972
JACKSON BROWNE is no new name to pop. He's been here all the time. He's one of those guys who used to just appear at local folk clubs somewhere on either of America's coasts and then vanish for a couple of years. I saw him perform three or four years ago at a benefit in Long Beach, California. His songs were as sensitive and descriptive as they are today. But his vocal style lacked confidence.
