"JETHRO RETIRE HURT!" blared the headline in a major British magazine just over two years ago, when a spokesman for the group announced an "indefinite" end to Jethro Tull's live appearances, blaming the move on the extreme negative reaction which their then-current album, A Passion Play, received from the British critics.
