Dave Lee, in his more familiar guise as Joey Negro, was number one in a field of one. But Universe Of Love, the first Negro album, comes at a time when competition is hotting up: Greg Fenton's Silver City, Mount Rushmore and Disco Elements are but three of a clutch who have discovered the limitless possibilities of credible, tuneful music over here.
