John and Yoko Envisage Super Jam

Mike Gormley, Detroit Free Press, 2 January 1970

IT'S A WELL known fact that John and Yoko Lennon were in Toronto and Ottawa recently to talk about their Peace Festival to be held at Mosport Park, about 60 miles north of Toronto, July 3, 4 and 5. During a recent conversation with Ritchie Yorke, a Canadian writer who is now employed by Lennon, I found out the whole story. John and Yoko envision a super jam, featuring The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley, all on stage together to climax three days of music, poetry, peace propaganda and love.
