IF THERE has been one solitary factor which has completely dominated John Fogerty's lifestyle, it has been his insatiable desire to be a successful rock 'n' roll star. While most kids of his age were still harbouring adolescent fantasies of becoming railway engine drivers, jet pilots or baseball pitchers, John had crystal clear visions of himself, guitar in hand up there on a brightly lit stage belting out some raunchy rock music. The years passed — most of his friends settled for the security of everyday life — John Fogerty, however, realised his ambition.
