I'VE COME to the conclusion that Johnny Rivers divides his life between Whiskys, cutting "live" albums and serving in the Army Reserves. Which isn't an awfully bad way to spend your life, I suppose, since he always sells-out his Whisky dates; his albums continually do well. And he doesn't have any choice about the Army bit.
