Johnny Winter Speaking

Royston Eldridge, Sounds, 17 October 1970

THE IDEA of Johnny Winter, Texan albino, blues guitarist and underground legend, working with the McCoys, bubble-gum lightweights sold on their teenage looks, would have been laughed at six months ago but today it's a fact. Winter, playing a little blues guitar in his London hotel room, talked during a short holiday here this week about the break up of his old band, the formation of the new one, their music and his life in general.
