WHEN JONATHAN KING first manifested his presence upon this already sufficiently troubled planet he was able to masquerade as a genuinely provocative presence, mainly because he possessed the faint semblance of a criticial intelligence, he had hits while he was still a student and he made exquisitely awful records that enabled him to make complete fools out of the record-buying public for sitting still for his absurd stunts.
