THIS ALBUM is an explicit statement of spirituality and of strength — a black woman's survival. The title offers the record as a statement and the contents bear it out. This is a self-produced album employing a famous mixture of sessioneers who never swamp the singer's clear vision. As a result, the clichés of reggae are avoided and the album burns with a personal intensity employed in the often mutually exclusive causes of women and rastafari.
