FINCHLEY CENTRAL, you'll recall, was a hit record for the New Vaudeville Band (I think it was the follow-up to the equally appalling 'Winchester Cathedral').It's also the tube stop nearest to the North London home of bass player, violinist and songwriter Rod Clements, who I went to talk to a couple of weeks after Lindisfarne had finished recording their latest album.
