Marty Wilde and the Wilde Cats: Epsom Playhouse

AN AVALANCHE of white hair and bald heads enthusiastically greeted the burly, bewigged figure of the genial Marty Wilde when he lumbered on stage at the Epsom Playhouse, not managing to look much younger than his self-mocking 78 years – despite the green eyeshadow. An elderly six-foot grandfather ghost in dark drape sequin Edwardian-style jacket bedecked with silver chains and glitter belt about to leave the late '50s rock and roll feast.
